My journey began in the summer of 2008, when a friend invited me to take a yoga class with her. After several excuses, I gave in and took my first yoga class. After the first class, I was ready for the second and many more. Prior to yoga, I felt stuck in a body that was yearning for a lot of healing mentally and physically. With each movement, each opening, my body began to receive the healing that yoga brings. I felt strong, gained a lot of self-esteem and that fear that held me back started to let go. Today yoga is one of my favorite forms of self-care.
In 2017 I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Transform Power yoga. An accomplishment I have come to appreciate every day.
Over the years, I have practiced and embraced many different styles of yoga: hatha yoga, Baptiste yoga, power vinyasa, yin yoga, restorative yoga, core power yoga, bikram yoga. The different disciplines play a vital role in my yoga class flow. My classes are a combination of my own life-long love for movement and breathe building energy and relaxation. I strongly believe yoga is accessible to all, it’s accommodating and requires one to have an open mind and loving care for your body.
Among my many yoga teachers, I am indebted to my first yoga teacher Jenn Pici Falk, who was very instrumental in bringing me to this point of my life. Her positivity provided the purpose to be alive, when everything else told otherwise.
